| Resumo | A data set of 199 maps of Sea Surface Temperature; derived from the sensor Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer of the NOAA-12 -14 satellites was processed to derive the position of the internal frontal boundary of the Brazil Current in the SE Brazilian coastal and oceanic area. After the derivation of the position of the BC frontal zone for each image, their digital vectors were processed using the Algorithm of Frontal Density. This algorithm calculates for each cell in the domain an index which expresses the presence and persistence of the front in that area. It is also a measure of the probability of finding the front in the region. In the paper we present the results of the ADF formulation in order to get a better view of the space and time variability of the BC front in the region. | |||
